2014 Gainesville Conference Championship Results
The Gainesville Conference held its very first Conference Championship this year. The competition host, First Christian Academy, was one of the first OAS schools in the area and has hosted competitions in previous years.
FCA was joined by new schools, Riverside Christian and Countryside Christian. Together these three schools completed their first league season, culminating in the Gainesville Championship.

FCA displayed its experience and the depth to their team by capturing the top spots in both the boys and girls division during the ranking round. Garrett Barrelle took first in the boy’s division with a 334/360. For the girls, Rebekah Stone finished in 1st place with a 339/360.
In the Olympic Round, Joshua Johnson, who placed 3rd in the ranking round, would snatch gold from Garrett by just 3 points. On the girls side, Rebekah would defend her top spot and take home her second gold medal.
The last event of the day was the team round. In an all-FCA showdown, the team of Garrett, Jake, and Noah would triumph and take home gold.
After tallying up the results from all three events, FCA would take home this year’s Gainesville Champion Title. Next up for these schools is the Florida State Championship where they will face off against the Orlando conference.
