2012 CAHPERD Conference [updated 2/15/2012]

OAS will be attending its first conference this year!  We will be setting up a booth in the exhibit hall of the 2012 CAHPERD Conference.  CAHPERD is the California Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance.  The organization actively supports programs involved in these areas.

We are really excited to be attending this event.  We hope that we will be able to raise awareness for Olympic-style Archery and the opportunities youth have through the sport.  These conferences are really neat as they bring together people who are passionate about getting youth involved in physical activity and living healthy lifestyles.  Archery is an especially good opportunity for this because literally anyone can participate and excel at it.  In fact it’s often the ones who wouldn’t normally do sports or are not as athletically gifted as others that get hooked and do really well in archery.  The sport can also be adapted to those with handicaps.

The 2012 CAHPERD State Conference will be held from February 23rd to 26th at the Pasadena Convention Center.  The exhibit hall will be open on Friday (24th, 7am – 4pm) and Saturday (25th, 8am – 3pm).
